“Geological Net Zero” – A proposal for a simple and effective resolution at COP26

The article linked to this page arose from an unexpected connection between GlosCAN and its author, Patrick Portolano. He contacted GlosCAN after reading Hugh Richards’ April 2021 blog post “A ‘polluter pays’ treaty to control global fossil carbon extraction – a big idea for COP26 to get talking about now”.

He was already working on an article for the French subscription publication ‘PAM’ – the alumni magazine of the prestigious ParisTech school of engineering known as “Ponts et Chaussées” or just “Ponts”.
